August, 2012 – Participants in the 2012 Soccer for Peace camp were asked to evaluate their experience and overall beliefs.  

The results were consistent with years past, demonstrating a belief in the ability of football to unite, enjoyment of the camp experience and a general desire to stay in touch / return. Of the 43 survey respondants (fewer than the total number of participants):

  • 72% met more Arabs / Jews than they otherwise could have
  • 79% believe they can be friends with an Arab / Jew
  • 93% believe Arabs and Jews enjoy soccer equally
  • 95% believe in peace for the long-term
